About Pastor Jim

JimEmigA native of Broadview Heights, Ohio (a suburb of Cleveland), Jim Emig was raised in a family of ten children. Jim knew at an early age that he wanted to be a pastor, so he took his studies seriously. After completing high school in 1975, he attended Fort Wayne Bible College and graduated in 1979. In 1980, he moved to Colorado to attend Denver Seminary, where he graduated in 1984. Over the years, Jim has served the homeless, the incapacitated, and the imprisoned.Jim became Pastor of the Kiowa Creek Community Church in 2004 and is a resident of Kiowa. He has two sons, Peter and Alex, who live in Colorado. Pastor Jim enjoys cycling and woodworking in his limited spare time. He is a gifted singer and a beloved friend to many. In addition to being the pastor of Kiowa Creek Community Church in Kiowa, Pastor Jim is also Elbert Presbyterian Church’s Temporary Pastoral Leader.
